Definitions and Explanations of BlogPatrol Stats Reports

STATS DASHBOARD: the dashboard consists of an identity box (first box) and a stats menu box (second box) to help you manage your stats reports.

  • Identity Box: displays the blog (or website) being tracked by your account, plus the last time your stats report page was refreshed. BlogPatrol stats are updated in real-time, but the date/time stamp of your stats reports shows when your browser was last refreshed with information from the database.
  • Stats Menu: gives you access to all your stats reports. Click on any of the hyperlinks in this menu to go to the corresponding set of reports. The stats menu is always located at the top and bottom of the stats page to help you easily navigate through your reports.

VIEW ALL STATSITICS: click on this link to display all the reports described below (in the sequence listed below), except for the Detailed Visitor Logs.

DETAILED VISITOR LOGS: Who's reading your blog? This final report is rich with information about the visitors to your blog. Each alternating gold-colored or blue-colored row of data represents a single visitor. The actual pages read by each visitor are included in a none-colored row beneath each gold-colored or blue-colored row. The valuable details include:

  • Previous Day and Next Day Links: Includes links to scroll through the detailed visitor logs for each day of your data. The Previous Dayand Next Day links are located along the top and bottom of this report.
  • Pagination Links: The detailed visitors logs are organized in pages containing up to 50 visitors per page. The report will show you how many pages of data are available for each day. The Page links are located along the top and bottom of this report.
  • Visit: BlogPatrol assigns a unique visitor identification number to each visit tracked by your BlogPatrol counter.
  • Date/Time: The date of the visit and the time when the visit began.
  • IP: An acronym for Internet Protocol address, IP is the Internet address of the computer used to visit your blog.
  • Country: The country where the computer of each visitor is located.
  • Browser: The Internet browser of the computer used to view your blog.

When you compare the date/time between visits, you get an idea of how much time a visitor has spent on a given page.
